Frequently Asked Questions

How can I search for open positions? plus minus

Scroll down to “Applying at Air Products” and click on “Find and Apply”. New users will have to create a home account and return users can login with their email and password.

On the Search for Jobs page, enter your search criteria. Your searchable criteria may include keywords, Req. No., Job Title, Location, etc. The default search language is English; however, you can do a search in any of the languages listed in the top right-hand corner of the page. If you do not enter any search criteria, all open positions posted in English will be included in your search results. Because this is a global career center, job openings are posted for North and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

If your search criteria did not bring back the desired results, please clear the criteria and re-enter.

If this did not provide the answer you needed, please contact Talent Acquisition. Include your name, a contact phone number and a brief explanation of the issue.

To apply directly to an open position, you will have to create a home account. The home account login requires a valid email address and password.

To apply to an open position, from the Search for Jobs screen, click on the job title to review the job details, then hit the apply button to begin. If you have not created a login account yet, you will be prompted to do that. If you are a return user, simply login to your account.

When you apply to open positions or just drop your resume/CV for future applications, there are several ways to submit your information. You can build a profile using the site by uploading a saved resume/CV from your computer; you can copy/paste or enter your information into the resume text box; or you use the profile builder. You can also build your profile from your LinkedIn account.

You also have the option of entering a cover letter. Please note this is not required during the job application process.

You can store up to 5 different resume/CVs and 5 different cover letters in your Career Center account.

At any time, you can click on the help icon (? Help) in the upper right hand corner of the screen for additional assistance.

If this did not provide the answer you needed, please contact Talent Acquisition. Include your name, a contact phone number and a brief explanation of the issue.

Not currently. You can log in to your home account to view your submitted applications, but you will not be able to edit any of the information submitted.

Review your search criteria to make sure you have not entered anything in the other search fields. You can also remove your current search criteria by clicking the Clear All button on the left-hand side of the screen then search by using other search criteria, such as keywords or location. If your search still does not return any matches, the position(s) may have been removed from the Career Center and we are no longer accepting applications.

You can check the status of jobs to which you have applied by logging into your Career Center home account. On the Welcome screen, click on the cloud icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, then click view profile. Under “My Applications”, you will see each of the jobs that you have applied to. Each job will show the current status.

An Air Products recruiter will review your skills and experience to see if there is a match with the position. If there is a match, you will be contacted by a member of our recruitment team.

Once you are referred by an Air Products employee, you are connected to that employee for one year. However, to be considered for specific positions, you must apply online to those positions.

If this did not provide the answer you needed, please contact Talent Acquisition. Include your name, a contact phone number and a brief explanation of the issue.

Does Air Products offer co-op and/or internship positions for university/college students? plus minus

Yes, we do.  We offer co-op/intern positions for BS/MS students in the spring, summer, and fall. The majors we recruit are Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, and Human Resources.

We offer summer internships for undergraduate Finance/Accounting students and MBA students (who have completed their first year MBA requirements).

We offer internships for Ph.D. students and Industrial Post-Docs in Engineering and R&D. These assignments are project based and vary from year to year.

All co-op/intern positions are posted on the Air Products Career Center. Additional information can be found on the Careers page of the Air Products website, under Students and Recent University Graduates

The maximum length of an internship assignment is 11 weeks. Co-Op assignments can range from 11 to 20 weeks, the majority of which are 16 to 20 weeks in length.
We provide temporary housing assistance through a third-party vendor, Internhousing.com. The internhousing site lists rooms, condos, apartments, and houses for rent to students doing temporary assignments at various companies throughout the United States. Each co-op/intern receives an internhousing account before beginning his/her assignment. The student can sign in and look for available housing at their assignment location. The student contacts the property owner directly to secure temporary housing. We also offer a temporary housing lump-sum stipend to assist with the cost of housing. Upon receipt of an offer, the program manager will inform you how much you can anticipate receiving.
Whether you are working with Financial Analysts at our Corporate Headquarters or a Chemical Engineer working at one of our production facilities, you will be gaining real work experiences plus learning the business fundamentals of a Fortune 500 company. Co-ops and interns bring a fresh, new perspective to the Air Products working environment, which is another valuable aspect of the programs. Please review our co-op/intern postings on the Air Products Career Center for additional information.
In addition to practical work experience, our programs include seminars, facility tours, social activities, and networking opportunities. All of this is intended to enhance the students’ personal and professional development.

Yes, we do. Our Career Development Programs have been going strong for more than 50 years. Our three programs are:

  • BS/MS Graduates in Engineering, Information Technology, Human Resources
  • MBA Graduates in Finance and Commercial
  • Ph.D. Graduates in Engineering and Materials Technology

The Career Development programs are rotational programs consisting of three assignments lasting 8 to 12 months each. Program participants explore opportunities while on the program to help determine their career paths.
